The Mardyke Arena UCC is a fitness and training home to many of Ireland’s elite sportspeople, thousands of young students, business professionals, families and children, the Mardyke Arena UCC appeals to the widest cross section of Cork’s population. Since opening our doors for the first time in September 2001, the Mardyke Arena UCC has been an incredible success story, due in large measure to the dedication of our staff and tremendous loyalty of our members.
The Arena is the first and only facility of its kind in Ireland to be accredited with major international business standards; ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management) and ISO 50001 (Energy Management). The Mardyke Arena UCC Climbing Wall offers an exciting challenge for complete beginners through to serious climbers.
There are two state of the art Squash courts at the centre. Playing squash is a fun way to develop key abilities such as concentration, perseverance, and patience.
The Mardyke Arena UCC contains three sports halls, each of which is full basketball court size.
Our relaxation area includes a sauna, steam room and heated seats. It is an ideal location to relax and unwind.
Located in the Foyer of the Mardyke Arena UCC, it’s a family owned & run business in the heart of the Arena and it’s an ideal ‘pit stop’ location after a Gym Session, Swim, Zumba Class or just a meet-up with a friend or colleague!
