Testimonials
Having suffered with a slipped disc and back pain for 7 years, after several epidurals, I still suffered from chronic pain that interfered with my day to day life lifestyle.
With constant pain, restricted movement and little to no flexibility or strength, I was referred by a consultant to the arena clinic as a patient of Róisín Egan. Within weeks, Róisín had broken my pain cycle, made me stronger through physio while also educating me on pain. I understood my body more and became less afraid of doing the things I usually avoided from fear of past pain.
I now do physio with Róisín through Reformer Pilates, something I have always wanted to do, but never dreamt possible. My flexibility, strength and endurance has sky rocketed.
Through physio therapy, I have learnt pain is not permanent and anything is achievable with the right physiotherapy.
From the outset I have been impressed by Conor’s professionalism, enthusiasm and commitment to the Parkinson’s group.
He has a great sense of humour, to which we all respond in fashion, which creates a very relaxed atmosphere yet he remains focused on the job-in-hand. He is very aware of our individual abilities, or lack thereof and has a broad, empathetic understanding of each person’s unique need.
I know that the group as a whole would agree that, in Conor O’Mullane we have a true champion who has dedicated so much of his time and learning in order to help us cope with the challenges of Parkinson’s Disease. A mighty “Thank you”, Conor!"
From the receptionists to the Physiotherapists this is a superb physio centre where the patient is always put first and nothing is ever too much trouble.
A particular thank you to Laura Harrington who has helped me so much in recent times her professionalism superb support treatment and care and her lovely manner. It was thanks to Laura’s treatment and advice that I was able to recover from a painful injury and participate in various exercise activities again always with her advice in mind.
I would highly recommend the arena clinic to my family friends colleagues and anybody who needs any kind of physio treatment. It is quite simply a centre of excellence.
I attended physio with Joe Normoyle in the Mardyke Arena after years of struggling with long term neck and back problems. The care I received from Joe along with the use of the world class facilities in the Arena meant I was able to recover to a level I hadn’t previously thought possible.
Jacqui is very friendly and the classes are always a lot of fun. She makes sure you are challenging yourself in a safe way. When I started the reformer pilates I had a pretty bad diastasis of more than 4 fingers.
I had troubles with getting up and couldn't run. With the help of Jacqui and the reformer class my gap is now almost closed and more importantly my core is functional again.
I am definitely recommending the reformer pilates classes to everyone who just had a baby and safely wants to get back to working out again. And if you just want to meet some other mothers and have an hour without the kids you should give it a try as well.
Having access to the arena clinic during my rehab was extremely beneficial. Laura and Joe were always there to help and updating my program weekly.
When going into the Mardyke for physio or a session you have everything you need and state of the art equipment, which is a huge asset as you can stay focused in a good environment.
