What to expect?

When you attend the arena clinic, your Chartered Physiotherapist will ask you questions on your presenting condition. Above all, we endeavour to listen to you, your concerns about your physical health and your goals of what you want to achieve through physiotherapy. Your therapist will then do a full assessment of the affected area and discuss the findings so that together you can formulate a treatment plan.

Do I need to be referred by a doctor for physiotherapy?
No, you can self-refer to physiotherapy and we also accept referrals from GPs, Consultants, Public Health Nurses, complementary therapists and other healthcare providers. . We would be more than happy to correspond with your GP/Consultant so that they are kept up to date of your progress with physiotherapy.

What to bring?
Please bring a list of any current medications and any scan results eg MRI with you to your first appointment.
Your therapist will need to expose the area affected; therefore you might be more comfortable in a pair of shorts for low back or leg issues. Ladies may also prefer to bring a vest top for an upper limb issue.
